With colorful illustrations and a friendly, simple language, this book presents a great introduction to global health for kids. It shows how the global health community brings access to medical care, healthy food, water, and education to people around the world. I think it will inspire kids to explore science, medicine, and volunteering to make the world a better place!
Sweet book with a positive message
Excellent topic in a digestible and fun way for children of all ages
Devastatingly charming, witty and inspiring! In a age when darkness and cruelty is in vogue, this book is a beacon of light for children and adults alike seeking the best in humanity
As a medical professional with a particular interest in global health, I found this book to be an excellent introduction to important topics, creating a foundation of principles for our children who are beginning to explore interest in medicine themselves. It is written in a clear format with beautiful accompanying illustrations. I will certainly recommend this text to friends and colleagues whose children wish to explore a career in medicine!
Global Health for Kids is a wonderful introduction to the world of health and wellness beyond our own community. The book explained what global health means in a way my child could easily understand, using stories and illustrative examples that showed how people around the world work together to stay healthy. It helped my child see the connections between clean water, nutrition, education, and access to care, and why these things matter for everyone. Most importantly, it sparked a real curiosity about how we can all help make a difference — inspiring my child to learn more about science, kindness, and community action to improve health for all.
I bought this book for my granddaughter who is an avid reader of pictorial books. She is glued to the book ever since and already remembers ‘vak-seen’,pandemic etc.Kudos to these young authors who combined education & science with storytelling in simple enough terms to make the curious kids understand and digest the facts. And these three did an exemplary job taking time off their busy professional lives. This little book greatly succeeds in fostering awareness and empathy in children about global health challenges. Masterpieces like this empower our little ones with knowledge about the impact of health on daily lives and the importance of nutrition exercise and disease prevention. It prepares them to understand and emphasize with the kids that are plagued with hunger and malnutrition … and this is a prelude for them to embark upon a journey of their own to achieve global health and healing.
