About the Authors
About the Authors
Betty Nguyen, MD is a physician specializing in dermatology. She was born in Southern California but spent much of her childhood in Georgia, where she grew up on a chicken farm. Betty studied Biology at UCLA, where she was a Gates Millennium Scholar, and earned her MD from UC Riverside on a full-tuition scholarship. Outside of work, Betty is a certified yoga instructor and licensed scuba diver. She also enjoys journalistic writing and cycling.
Brandon Pham, MD is a physician specializing in ophthalmology. He was born and raised in Southern California. Brandon studied Microbiology, Immunology, and Molecular Genetics at UCLA, where he was a Goldwater Scholar, and earned his MD from Stanford. He is passionate about medical education for students of all ages. In his free time, Brandon enjoys traveling, playing tennis, and running.

The illustrations in this book were beautiful! My kids were captivated. My wife and I especially liked that the book explains why things are done, as it helped our daughter understand the reasoning behind why she needs to go to the doctors. We’ve purchased many other books in this Medical School for Kids series, and this one is among my daughter’s favorite. The book rhymes and was fun to read, and the illustrations were dreamy. Perfect book for our 3-year old.
This book is a must-have for every family with young kids, especially those who are anxious about going to the doctor. The book narrates what to expect during a doctor’s visit by following a little girl to her doctor’s visit and describing what happens. My toddlers were afraid of going to the doctor before reading this book, but after learning about what to expect (e.g. getting vitals taken, getting a physical exam, etc.), they were excited for their next visit to the pediatrician and even wanted to bring this book along with them! Our whole family was captivated by the rhyming and vibrant, adorable illustrations in this book. Needless to say, we will be buying more books from this series. Well done!

I bought this for my nephew and niece and they loved every page. The book describes a typical day at the doctor; 's office and helps the young ones appreciate what doctors do. The illustrations are also so beautiful to look at. I will be buying more books from the series for sure!
