About the Authors
About the Authors
Betty Nguyen, MD is a physician specializing in dermatology. She was born in Southern California but spent much of her childhood in Georgia, where she grew up on a chicken farm. Betty studied Biology at UCLA, where she was a Gates Millennium Scholar, and earned her MD from UC Riverside on a full-tuition scholarship. Outside of work, Betty is a certified yoga instructor and licensed scuba diver. She also enjoys journalistic writing and cycling.
Brandon Pham, MD is a physician specializing in ophthalmology. He was born and raised in Southern California. Brandon studied Microbiology, Immunology, and Molecular Genetics at UCLA, where he was a Goldwater Scholar, and earned his MD from Stanford. He is passionate about medical education for students of all ages. In his free time, Brandon enjoys traveling, playing tennis, and running.

I find this book superb for children whose grandparents have neurological illnesses. It is very light, very flexible, and offers great value for money. The font is quite large and the explanations are truly perfect. I think the medical terms used are just right for helping children understand neurological diseases. I highly recommend it. What a shame there aren't more books like this.
Amazing book to introduce children to the world of neurosurgery.
We got this to read our daughter and it’s really well written! Pictures are great and accurate. I’m a 3rd year neurosurgery resident, and we will be buying this for our other resident friends having babies as well! Loved this book
This book was packed full of information! I bought these books for a 4 year old. However, I would NOT say these books are made for toddlers. It would better suit older kids!
