First and foremost this book is beautiful. Every illustration is very high quality and includes just the right amount of detail that it keeps kids engaged while not overloading them. This book is exactly what the title implies - a great resource for someone looking to introduce kids to the field of pulmonology. It covers all of the major topics in a simple, approachable way.I think this book is perfect for kids that are trying to understand lung medicine better.
I've bought all of the books in this series as gifts for my nephews, and they all love these books. The youngest is always begging me to read this one to him every time I see him. He just learned to talk a year ago and is already saying words like "thoracentesis" and "bronchoscope" thanks to this book. Incredible stuff. I'm honestly surprised that books like these haven't been around earlier. This book is so educational and well written. It really simplifies real medical information into terms and concepts that kids can understand. Love that these books always end on a positive note with discussion about ways to diagnose and treat each disease. I think this entire series deserves a spot on the bookshelf of every kid worldwide!
This book series is great for any kid interested in the human body. Also a great gift idea for any friends in the medical field.
Very informational in an easy to read format. My kids really like the pictures and learning all about how we breathe.
This series is awesome and I'm glad I bought it. My only critique is that I wish they provided a pronunciation key for the technical terms throughout.
I have been looking for something with lots of pictures that address the way lungs and pancreas work and this line of picture books is so great! I have aspiring little doctors and one little girl with cystic fibrosis and we really appreciate these. Cf mom approved!
